Wedding Placecard Holders - How to Find Unique Place Card Holders

April 24th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Ashley Rader Place card holders are not just a practical way of letting your guests know where to sit at the reception. They have the ability to be a decorative addition to your table and can serve as wedding favors for all your guests. You can get them to suit your dcor and your colors and style quite easily. This means that of all the wedding favors this one serves as one of the best because of its double duty. There is such a vast selection of place card holders to match almost any wedding theme and style. Chair place card holders are a great choice, when it comes to letting guests know where you would like them to sit. These can be as casual as the beach themed Adirondack chair tealite place card holders to a more traditional Victorian chair tealite place card holder. There is also a quilted chair place card holder/photo frame. There are also vine chair place card holders, which would be a great addition to an outdoor wedding. There is also the option of pewter chair place card holders. Metal framed place card holders are an elegant choice, and the variety of choices can be matched to almost any style and dcor. There are some like the beaded photo frame and place card holder, and the elegant arc photo frame and place card holder serve a dual role. The brushed metal photo frame is also a place card holder, as is the miniature silver photo frame and place card holder. Most of the metal frame place card holders can serve as photo frames so these would make a good selection to give your guests a gift to reuse. Another place card holder option that does double duty is the ones that double as gift boxes. An elegant choice is the miniature chair or the bride and groom place card holder and favor box. Mint tin boxes are a great choice too; they allow you to give an edible gift and keepsake as the same favor. Silhouette Place card holders come in many varieties. There is the darling daisy for a garden wedding, or the happily ever after. Using a nautical silhouette to accompany your ocean themed wedding decor or your beach side wedding, may well be a fantastic way to top your table. There is a snowflake place card holder for those brides who have planned a winter wedding, or the Star of David for a Jewish wedding. A silver fortune cookie is ideal for an Asian themed wedding. For a fall wedding there is a pumpkin place card holder and for a holiday wedding you could use the peppermint twist place card holder/ornament. Overall place card holders help you direct your guests to their assigned seating and can be a decorative addition to your table. So no matter what your dcor is you will absolutely be able to find the appropriate place card holder, and if you pick one that has dual functions, it will serve as a continuous reminder to your guests. Weight Loss Tip: How You Can Use Your Powerful Unconscious Mind To Create A Beautiful Body For You

April 22nd, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Melroy Drego If I asked you to draw a picture of yourself (assuming that you were a fantastic artist) what would you draw. Can you “see” that picture of yourself ? What do you look like? If you want a truly powerful Weight Loss Tip, you must learn how the Creation process works in this Universe of ours. So sit back and relax while you understand and digest this Weight Loss Tip. Remember this: Creation is a 2-step process. Your Weight Loss Journey is the same. Have you ever thought about how an artist works at creating, say, a sculpture from a block of marble? She will first study her block of marble from many different angles, turning it this way and that, looking at it intently. If you observe her even more closely, you may notice that she is thinking. In fact, this thinking is actually the process of making a set of pictures. She is creating pictures in her mind, and “trying them for size” against the block of marble, checking whether this new picture will fit into the block that she has. That is Step 1 of the Creation Process: Creating Pictures that Fit the Raw Material she has. Once she has a good picture of what she wants to create out of the marble in her head, she may start sketching the picture from different angles. This helps your artist to record the fruit of her imagination for later on.And then, the artist starts chiseling away at the raw block of marble. She is at Step 2 of the Creation Process. She manifesting her dreams into the Real World by taking action. Thus, everyone around her can really see what she was working at, in her mind. If you want to really lose weight and get a great shape for yourself, you must go through more-or-less the same process. But only if you want to achieve Permanent Weight Loss. Firstly, why do we need this 2-step process? Why can’t we just start working away at the gym, and banging away at a reasonable-looking diet? Because the most powerful guiding force in your life is your unconscious mind. And if you have not communicated your goal to your unconscious mind, you are heading for frustration and failure. By having a clear picture in your mind of the weight loss (and the new body) you wish to achieve, you will communicate your end-goal to your unconscious mind. And if you do that often, consistently, you will be able to literally harness your unconscious mind to work for you, thus gaining the body that you want quite easily. With the powerhouse of your Unconscious Mind driving your weight-loss efforts, You Will Not Fail to achieve your new body, and lose the extra weight that keeps you down today. So let’s run through this Weight Loss Tip once more, pointing out what you must do, what actions you must take: You must have a clear picture of what you want to become.Relax, close your eyes each day, morning and evening, and see yourself as you wish to be. See yourself as if you have, right now, the body that you want for yourself. And do this exercise daily. You speak to your unconscious mind most powerfully through these pictures. Your message will only really get through if you are consistent, if you emphasize to your mind, through constant repetition: “This is What I Want.” And then watch your subconscious drive your body, your actions, and, seemingly, your entire destiny towards the weight loss goal that you have set for yourself. Your actions, driven by your subconscious mind, will start creating the fantastic new body that you’ve dreamed up for yourself. And that Dream “You” will emerge from the chrysalis of your present Body. Melroy dRego is the author of the book Why Your Mind Keeps You Fat and How You can Fix It! as well as the Fix the Mind that Keeps You Fat Workbook and dozens of articles (both audio and text) on getting the Mental Attitude + Action mix that can make anyones body permanently lean and strong. A Rose Is Not Just Another Flower

April 20th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Liz Norman There is no doubt about it. A rose is one of the most beautiful of all Gods creations. That being said, there is also a widely held belief that roses are difficult to grow. When in fact, they are actually quite easy to grow and far less demanding then most people think. In addition to being beautiful, the rose is a very versatile flower. It is the flower most often used in wedding bouquets and delivered on Valentines day. A single rose can say I love you in a way that no other flower can do. Most roses bloom all summer long. They love the sunshine and to be watered at root level. They do not like water on the flower itself. And to retaliate, the buds wont bloom and the full flowers will develop ugly spots. So no high-shooting sprinklers please. A rose is beautiful all by itself or grouped with other flowers. Place a single rose in a bud vase with a sprig of fern or babys breath in the guest or powder room to let your guests know how glad you are they are there. Todays roses come in a large variety of colors, both solid and some mixed. There are white, yellow, various shades of pink and red, lavender and even roses which appear to be black. The white rose is most often the flower of choice for weddings due to white being the color of purity. Yellow roses are good for impersonal gifts. Because a yellow rose is a symbol of friendship and trust, they are a good choice for friends, co-workers, secretaries and teachers. A pink or lavender rose is a good choice for family members such as mothers aunts, and grandmothers. While the red rose brings with it the connotation of a deeper love between a man and a woman. If you have some rose bushes in your garden, you probably already know the importance of dead heading your roses in order to promote new growth. But wait, dont just toss those spent flowers into the recycle bin! Instead, strip the flower head of the remaining petals and place them in a colander. Leave the colander in the sun and stir the petals every few days. When completely dry, store the petals in a paper bag. By the end of summer you should have enough petals to fill several bowls to place throughout the house. By mixing in a few drops of fragrant oil, you can continue to enjoy your roses several more months. In fact, your own home- grown potpourri will be well accepted when received as Christmas gifts. Online Dating Services - Not Just for the Younger Generation Anymore

April 19th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Erick Shipmon If youre over the age of 40, you may not think the online dating scene has very much to offer you. But you would be wrong! Not only are people 30 years old and younger signing up for online dating services memberships in record numbers, so are people much older than that. So if youre a little more, shall we say, mature, youll be pleasantly surprised to find yourself in good company on an online dating service website. Actually, the company may be so good, that you can finally tell your nosey friends to bug off and stop trying to fix you up. You can make your own dates using an online dating service, and theyll be dates youll really want to go out on because online dating services give you the chance to get to know people before you go to the trouble and expense of going out on a date. Now, you cant do that with that blind date your friend Sue keeps trying to set you up with, thank goodness. And you dont have to worry about security and confidentiality on online dating websites. All your personal information is kept personal until youre ready, if you ever are, to divulge it. If someone falls head over heels in love with you and they start bugging you, you can have that person blocked from contacting you. Too, if at anytime you feel someone is being abusive or threatening in any way, you can report them, and many online dating services will revoke the threatening persons membership. So online dating is safe and secure, it must be hard, right? Nothing could be further from the truth. You simply fill out the membership form, pay, post your profile and picture if desired, then BOOM! Youre in the online dating business! What could be better! Well, just the fact that you can place yourself in a category or sign up at a special online dating service site that lets you be a bit more selective in the other mature or senior singles youd like to connect with. For example, there are Jewish online dating services, Asian online dating services, and Christian online dating services just to name a few. You can even sign up for particular cities through websites devoted to them. Atlanta online dating services, Cincinnati online dating services, New York online dating services and Nashville online dating services are just a few examples. And while your own city may not have an online dating service of its own, you can check into dating services of larger cities close to you. So what are you waiting for? The significant other of your dreams is just a mouse click away! Erick Shipmon has been an online marketer since 1997. Keeping Your Child Safe On The Internet - 10 Tips For Parents

April 16th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Felecia Sheffield PhD The early creators of the Internet or World Wide Web (WWW) probably never conceived of the impact it would have on the world. The Internet has the capability of providing unlimited information and resources including bringing faraway places up close and personal. But it is important to be aware that as with anything there is the potential for danger and misuse. Besides being a resource, your childs personal computer can also bring child predators and pornography right into your home. Numerous television and news reports have shown how easy it is for child predators to hide behind the anonymity of a computer screen. Below are some tips for trying to keep your child safe while they surf the net. 1. Consider using parental filters to minimize your childs access to unwanted or unauthorized sites. 2. Discuss with your child which sites and subject matters are off-limits. 3. Set early evening hours for computer use so that you are able to monitor their behavior. 4. Know with whom your child is corresponding. This includes both sending and receiving email. Child predators thrive on secrecy. 5. Help your child setup a non-identifiable email address e.g. suferboy27@yahoo.com 6. Dont allow your child to visit unknown chatrooms. 7. Regularly check the sites that your child has visited. 8. Warn child against giving out personal information on the net including their name, phone number, city, neighborhood, or with whom the live. 9. Tell your child to NEVER agree to meet someone offline without your knowledge or permission. 10. Warn your child about the dangers of child predators on the Internet! Felecia D. Aromatherapy Essential Oils - An Inheritance Well Acclaimed

April 13th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Bryan Josling The use of essential oils, which is derived from the pure essence of a plant, is not new. Though the term aromatherapy was coined only in the 1920s (by Gattefoss in 1928), people knew of aromatherapy essential oils from the prehistoric times. Starting from the Chinese to Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Persian and Indian civilizations, each have added to the science of essential oils and to aromatherapy as a whole. Research still continues in the field of aromatherapy essential oils, with new developments being made in the field. Aromatherapy and essential oils are no longer limited to cosmetic or aromatic uses only. Many of the essential oils have been proved to have medicinal and therapeutic benefits too. Take lavender oil for instance. French chemist Gattefoss would have been unaware of the properties of lavender oil to give instant relief without any scar in cases of burn, until he burnt his hand and accidentally put his hand in the jar full of the essence of lavender. Similarly, there are a large number of essential oils that have medicinal properties. The ‘tulsi’ plant or Indian basil, distinct through its strong aroma and taste, is considered “the elixir of life” since it is thought to bring longevity. The use of the plants extracts is made to treat illnesses like headaches, inflammation, heart disease, and malaria. The essential oils derived from karpoora tulsi have found use in the manufacture of herbal toiletry. Essential oils are derived from almost every part of the plant. Leaves, stems, flowers, roots, etc are distilled through steam or water to result into essential oils. Consequently, aromatherapy essential oils contain the true essence of the plant. In its purest form, a few drops of essential oil can give the same results that loads of that plant would have given. This is because essential oils are available in concentrated form. Though referred to as oil, essential oils in aromatherapy do not give that oily feeing. Except for a few oils such as patchouli, orange and lemongrass, most oils are clear and see-through. Aromatherapy essential oils must be differentiated from the perfume or fragrance oils. While essential oils contain the purest essence of the plant, fragrance oils are made of artificially created substances as a whole or a part of it. Fragrance oils may cause allergies or other skin reaction because of the use of artificial substances; but the use of essential oils brings upon no such allergic reaction. Aromatherapy essential oils can be used by people either through inhalation or by applying them on skin in a diluted form. When essential oils are inhaled, they enter the bloodstream and lungs directly, thus producing an instant effect on the ailment. Applying aromatherapy essential oils on the body is good for absorption. Since essential oils are available in a concentrated form, they need to be diluted using carrier oil. Sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, grape seed oil, etc are blended with the essential oil; and the mixture is used on the body or the part that is afflicted. One needs to be very careful while purchasing an essential oil. Though readily available, people are not well equipped to differentiate between the good quality and poor quality essential oil. The following checklist might be helpful to all those people who are on their way shopping for aromatherapy essential oils: A vendor who allows you to check the essential oil is preferred more. If the bottle containing essential oils has terms such as fragrance oils, nature identical oils; they are not essential oils. Never buy a bottle of essential oil that seems old. It might be adulterated or just might not produce the medicinal benefits. A clear glass bottle of essential oils allows light to come in, thus reducing its aroma therapeutic benefits. Avoid buying essential oils that are sold in clear glass bottles. Essential oils sold in plastic bottles too must be avoided as it dissolves plastic and becomes contaminated for use. Bryan Josling is working with the Horticultural Research Station in Adelaide. He has also been involved with research on plants. Infidelity: Why the Need to Know is So Strong

April 11th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Dr. Robert Huizenga When you discover that your partner is immersed in infidelity, you may have a powerful need to know. You want to know the details. Maybe ALL the details. When? Where? How? How Often? What was it like? etc. No. there is nothing wrong with you. In working intimately with hundreds of people like you, ravaged by an extramarital affair, the need to know is very common. Here are six reasons why you might want to know. 1. The need for validation. If you tend to be intuitive, that is, soak in the signals from others around you and try to make sense of them, you may have this powerful urge to go back and find out what really happened. Your partner says, “Yes, I was with him/her on that day.” You think, “Oh yes, I remember having a feeling at that time, an awful feeling. Now I know what that was about.” Or, “I asked you if you were having an affair and you denied it…or turned it back on me with your anger. I thought I was going crazy. Now I know I wasn’t. 2. You question your adequacy (and who doesn’t when confronted with marital infidelity) and a part of you wants to heal/change those thoughts and feelings. And so, you venture into the comparative game and ask/think: “What did they do? Was he she better? What was he/she better at? What didn’t I do or give? Where do I get stuck emotionally/sexually?” Sexual interaction is a “window to the soul.” Be kind to yourself when you compare. Learn. Often their sexual interaction leaves a lot to be desired. Know as well that your partner’s inadequacies will shine just as brightly with the OP (other person) as with you. 3. How bad is it? You want to know what you are up against. What is the extent of the boundary violation? How deeply embedded is my partner in this web? Do I throw in the towel? Will it be possible for me to forgive? How long will this take? How long will I hang in there? This question is important for the “I can’t say no” and the “I don’t want to say no” types of affairs. Infidelity behaviors worsen over time with these kinds of affairs. You want to know where in this process is your partner. 4. I get turned on. Yes, knowing the details for some is sexually arousing. Frequently, upon confession of the affair for a couple, there is a discharge of sexual energy. I hear someone say, “This is weird, but sex for us is better, more frequent and more intense than it ever has been.” Knowing the details of what happened with the OP may in some cases be very titillating and stir up hidden fantasies. 5. It’s a connection - maybe one of few. There may be a great deal of distance between you and your spouse. Conversations may be minimal. The affair, however, is front and center and becomes a focal point. You ask questions, probe and want to know because it is perhaps the only point of connection. Something is better than nothing. And your spouse may bring up the affair because it meets a need for drama. This is especially true of someone who “fell out of love…and just loves being in love.” Or, your spouse may encourage talk about the OP because in some rather unconscious way s/he carries a load of revenge and wants to “twist the knife.” 6. You want to care for your self. You may have concern about STDs. You need to know the extent of the behavior and protection used, if there was sexual activity, for your own physical well-being. The need to know is very powerful for some people in the midst of an affair. Examine carefully your situation and see if any of the above circumstances fit you. Dr. Robert Huizenga, The Infidelity Coach, has helped hundreds of couples over the past two decades heal from the agony of extramarital affairs and survive infidelity. Secured Home Equity Loans - Understanding No Closing Cost Home Equity Loans

April 10th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder No closing cost home equity loans can save you a bundle on upfront costs while letting you tap into available cash. Secured with your homes equity, you can pay for home repairs, bill consolidation, or a college education at low rates. The Definitions Of No Closing Cost Home Equity Loans No closing costs can be found with two different types of home equity loans. With a traditional second mortgage, the application and other fees are rolled into the principal. So over the course of the loan, you pay the closing costs with interest. With a line of credit you usually dont have any closing costs ever. Your lender sends you blank checks and a credit card for you to access your credit. You only pay interest on the amount you use. However, these types of loans usually have slightly higher rates than second mortgages. Deciding If No Closing Cost Is Right For You No closing cost home equity loans have rates a point or higher than traditional second mortgages. So you need to look at your budget and future goals to decide if this type of loan is right for you. In general, if you plan to move or refinance in a couple of years, you can see a savings with the no closing cost option. It is also a good option if you need all available finds now. But if you are looking at long term loan costs, you may be better off by paying the closing costs for a lower rate. To answer this question, take some time to calculate the costs of each type of loan. Finding No Closing Cost Terms With home equity loans, you need to read the fine print to know if closing costs are included or not. When you request a loan quote, also note that you do not want to pay any upfront fees. Usually you can check a box or include a comment with this information. As with any type of credit, take a look at several financial companies before settling on one. Make sure you are getting the best rates and terms by comparing financing packages. Working On Your Scrapbook One Page at a Time

April 7th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Audrey Okaneko It is so much fun creating scrapbooks that I think sometimes we can become overwhelmed about the finished product. Ive found the easiest way to work on a scrapbook is to work on just one page at a time, or a two page layout (side by side), not really thinking about the finished product. Right now, Im working on a scrapbook of my daughters trip to Washington D.C. She was there over spring break. We have all of the photos. And we have the album. Now, we just work on the album one page at a time. Last week we got some new supplies, so now we are looking at old pages seeing if any of these supplies would compliment pages already complete. Its fun to watch the progress of the album being created. We know we will have a full scrapbook. My daughter will be attending a 4 week summer program in Washington D.C. this summer, so we know we may add to the current album or we may start a 2nd album. Well know when we get to that point. If your album is a gift to someone else, then daily or weekly goals is the route to go. For example, if you are creating a 12 page scrapbook for a gift and the gift giving event is in 2 weeks, you know that youll need to create one page per day. Usually one page can be created in 30 minutes or less. If I have time to create two pages, I will. If I skip a day, then my gift will only be 11 pages, not 12. I know the recipient will still be happy. And I can always create additional pages in the future for the recipient to add to his/her scrapbook. When you create your scrapbook one page at a time, you spend more time enjoying the page you are working on and less time stressing over a finished project. Audrey Okaneko has been scrapbooking for several years now. The Art of Pleasing a Woman (in a non-sexual way)

April 6th, 2008 by faricayarnell

By Jeffrey Hauser Im in my late fifties and have learned a lot about women. While Im no expert, I think I can write with some authority. I was married for nearly 30 years to one woman before she passed away. Today, Im happily married to another and I hope shes as thrilled with me as I am with her. And why shouldnt she be? I treat her very well. And my late wifes friends would attest to the same thing. I took good care of her too. Its a relatively easy task to accomplish and it begins with an attitude. Think of why you are with that special lady. Isnt it to please her and have her return the favor? You dont even have to strain yourself or plan elaborate events. Just do the little things that she will come to appreciate. Tell her you love her, and do it often. Hold her hand while you walk together and sit next to her when you eat out. Sitting across works when youre having lunch with the boss, but were trying to establish a bit of intimacy here. Give her a back massage. Make her dinner at home. Do the dishes. Clean the house or apartment, for no special reason. Buy her flowers and candles. Let her pick out different scents she enjoys. Let her decorate the house or apartment. Pick out everything together. Go shopping together, whether its at the mall or the grocery store. Do the yard work together. Watch tv together. Listen to her when she talks to you. Discuss your day, your work, your hopes and dreams. Talk to her. If something is bothering you, tell her. Ask her if everything is okay or if theres anything she needs or wants, that you can provide. Remember her birthday, anniversary, Mothers day, Valentines Day, and any other significant anniversary with at least a card. If youre at work, call her just to tell her you miss her. Be attentive and caring. Be inventive in ways to make her feel wanted and special. Hug her often. Notice I havent mentioned anything about sex. Sex is another way of loving and deserves a separate article. Suffice it to say, if you do all the things I have just listed, shell be more than willing to take care of any of your sexual needs. Pleasing a woman is the opposite of being a jerk and its not particularly difficult or painful. Just be kind, gentle, caring, and provide the security she craves. Leave your big, macho attitude at the door. Being a man isnt so much physical as it is mental. If you dont believe me, ask any woman. Shell be more than happy to tell you, if you allow her to do so while shopping for a new handbag or pair of shoes as a thank you.
